Nancy Mallette, Senior Manager for Occupational Health and Safety for the Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, will speak on Hazard Assessment at Cirque du Soleil.

This discussion will provide insight into the depth of work that is undergone to assess hazards and mitigate them beginning from the early creation phases of a new Cirque du Soleil productions through to operations. We’ll unpack both the technical side and artistic side to better understand the machinations of this fascinating, world class, live performance company.

Prior to taking on the role of Senior Manager for Occupational Health and Safety, Nancy was Senior Operations Production Manager for shows such as Mystère and Zumanity, and was the Creation Production Manager for Criss Angel’s Believe. Prior to joining Cirque du Soleil in 1996, Ms. Mallette held the position of Director of Production at the largest multi venue performance facility in Canada–the National Arts Center.
