Valley Coastal Chapter ASSP Meeting

Exciting News!!!  We are pleased to announce that, on September 14th, we will be resuming in-person chapter meetings!  In order to accommodate those that are unable to attend in person, we will also continue to offer remote attendance via Zoom.

To kick off our first in-person meeting, there will be no cost, and members who attend in-person will be treated to a free lunch!

Learning Objectives

To educate people about the nature and likelihood of earthquakes in our area, what help companies can expect from first responders, how to conduct a hazard assessment, and simple steps that can be taken to enhance resiliency

Speaker Glen Granholm

Glen is vice-president of Safe-T-Proof, and a renowned speaker in the world of earthquake preparedness. He serves on the executive board of directors of both the Business & Industry Council for Emergency Planning and Preparedness and the International Facility Managers Association San Fernando Valley Chapter.  His experience includes overseeing major retrofit projects throughout California. Additionally, he has assisted with developing earthquake bracing protocols at Stanford University and major life science companies. He’s working with the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes on the national roll-out of the FEMA QuakeSmart program and speaks at workshops for the program held all over the United States. Recently he teamed up with the Central United States Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC) in helping develop an earthquake bracing protocol for assisted living centers.
