Speaker Lori Elder
Lori has her undergrad in EOH from CSUN with a specialty in hazardous material and waste management and a MS in Advanced Safety Engineering. Before getting into Safety, she was in the USAF as a Medical Technician and then became a research chemist. She has also been a registered EMT and taught CPR in the past. Lori has been in Safety for approximately 25 years and has worked in numerous industries such as Biotech, paper industry, Food Industry, Aerospace and Electrical Transmission at some very well-known companies. The one thing that sticks out to her is that no matter what industry you were in – OSHA regulations still apply – you just need to figure out which ones and how to best protect your workers. She enjoys taking the complex concepts and relaying that information to others to help them understand and do their jobs better.
